The mid-size Royal Oak packs a big punch that we love, especially the examples executed in steel and gold which ampfisize the designs lines so stylish. In contrast to the full gold models Audemars Piguet uses a different gold mixture which has a warmer tone, more towards pink gold which gives such a unique feeling to these watches. On many designs we personally prefer them therefor in the steel & gold execution!

The 4100 was designed by Jacqueline Damier and presented in 1977 and was the first Royal Oak with a centre seconds hand and specially made is a smaller size contrast to the 5402 for the Asian and Italian market. Only 8448 examples produced in total between 1977 and 1985 and sold until 2002. Only 3.563 produced in steel & gold.

This 35mm reference 4100 is in steel and gold and is in outstanding condition with strong lines on the case. Don’t get frightened by the small sounding size, due to the way these watches are produced with the integrated bracelet and octagonal bezel they wear bigger, more towards 37mm. The Stern-made grey petit tapisserie dial is in superb condition with crisp white text and gold hour with matching gold hands. This example is from 1980, in that year only 783 sold. The bracelet is in really great condition and would fit a wrist size up to 18cm. It comes with the iconic AP case style box which is possibly one of the all time coolest in our opinion!

The watch has the correct calibre 2123, a modified Jaeger LeCoultre movement, which has been fully checked and regulated by our watchmaker and still features the correct unsigned crown.
